The legal age for marriage in Florida is 18 years old.
Couples under 18 must have parental consent. Florida residents have a required 3 day waiting period. The spouses must present a valid photo ID to obtain the marriage license, which is valid for 30 days. The waiting period is waved with the completion of a Florida Premarital Course. There is no waiting period for out of state residents.
If either spouses has been previously married, they must present a copy of the divorce decree or death certificate.
